Everything You Need To Know About Spirit Week

Noah James, Staff Reporter

On the week of October 27, MBHS, with the help of our student government, will be bringing back the beloved biannual spirit week.

The five fun-filled days will begin next Monday, and kick off with Heritage Day. This day gives students and faculty a chance to celebrate their individual backgrounds. In the words of the student government leader, Ms. Baumgarten, it’s an opportunity to “showcase cultural pride.”

On Tuesday, celebrate by dressing up as a friend’s twin. Wear matching tops and bottoms and everything in between, making people wonder if they’re seeing double.

Wednesday will be a day to show support for the breast cancer community. The color pink is a universal symbol for breast cancer awareness, and all students are encouraged to wear your brightest shades of pink. For more information on the fight against breast cancer, or to see how you can help, visit Cancer.org.

On Thursday, students will be able to have fun by showing a crazy hat they have at home by wearing it. Not to mention, Mr. Otto and Mr. Franklyn won’t take your hats away, so go crazy.

The grand finale of this Fall’s spirit week will be Halloween. Friday will be the day to break those costumes out early. Just remember, no masks, props, or face paints permitted.
