Everything You Need To Know About The Senior Trip

On May 15, Millennium Brooklyn High School seniors will be going to Honor’s Haven Resort located in Ellenville, NY for their senior trip. The trip will be three days, and two nights. Seniors must get to school by 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, and wait by the fifth street entrance for check in. The coach buses that’ll be taking students to their destination will leave at 10:00 am and all bags will be searched for contraband items. The bus ride to Honor’s Haven Resort will take approximately two hours. In order to go on the trip students had to submit $300 and hand in a signed behavior contract.

There will be a total of nine chaperons: Ms. Morales, Mr. Franklyn, Mr. Faughnan, Mr. Conway, Ms. Nagano, Ms. Male, Ms. McElveen, Coach Friedman, and Coach McCarthy. The trip consists of many activities, including: paintball (additional $35), laser tag, horseback riding (additional $35)karaoke, hiking, scavenger hunt, movies, bingo, carnivals, parties with a DJ, and more. There are also indoor/outdoor pools, pizza/ice cream parties, campfires, snack bars and breakfast, lunch and dinner.

According to the Senior Committee adviser, Ms. Morales, 71 seniors will be attending the trip. She has been to Honor’s Haven before and explains that “they’re very accommodating for both students and for faculty” and that she’s “most excited about their outdoor activities.”

MBHS senior, Arianne Bienvenu states she “can’t wait to hang out with friends and for us getting together all as seniors” and hopes “everything stays on schedule.”
