College Fair: take a step toward your future!

Alan Lam, Reporter

On Tuesday, May 19th, an organization called “Colleges That Change Lives” will be holding a college fair to introduce students to colleges around the country. They will hold the event at the New York’s Hotel Pennsylvania Skytop Ballroom, 401 Seventh Avenue, NY 10001 at 7:00 PM, and it will last about 1.5 hours.

This isn’t very exciting news for many seniors who have already made their decisions for colleges. However, sophomores, juniors and even freshmen should check this event out to help them decide what colleges they want to go to down the line. Conversely, one anonymous MBHS student said that they were, “Sure that the fair was helpful, but I don’t have time to go to it.”

The CTCL (Colleges That Changes Lives) is behind this college fair. When asked about college fairs, know-how Maria Furtado, an executive director of CTCL, said that ”College Fairs can be a great way to learn about many schools in a short period of time” and that, “It’s best to have a few questions ready for the reps, just in case you get nervous.”
