On October 9th, the Millennium girls’ volleyball team, led by their captain Julia Gorelick, and their coach Mr. Wallin, played the Fort Hamilton JV volleyball team.

The two teams played three sets against each other. Game one ended 25-8 with the Millennium team winning.

They finished off the third match with a score of 25-16, a good win for the Millennium Phoenix.

From the moment the game began, the Millennium team put their heads together, competed hard, and in return, earned themselves a win.

Gorelick said “we beat them, we didn’t crush them, but we won, so that’s all that mattered to me.”

This game is a good sign for the Phoenix since they were able to get this win. Mr. Wallin likely was proud of his team’s performance. Hopefully the Phoenix can use this game to build momentum as the season progresses.
