Phoenix Baseball Team Has its Eye On the Future

The offseason dedication of the Millennium baseball team is unparallel. The team finished last year off 9-7 in the A division and is hard at work to keep their competitive edge.

If office hours run late, or you’re just in the building around 3:30pm, you can see varsity players running up and down the stairs and doing other endurance training. Endurance is not the only thing on head coach Brian Friedman’s mind. “We’re gonna go on a spring training trip to Fort Pierce florida from February 15th to the 20th.”

Mr. Friedman also spoke about his efforts to show off Seniors on the team, saying, “The seniors are going to have an opportunity to play in front of college coaches, they’re going to clinics in the Bronx on sundays where college coaches are taking a look at them, and we are trying to find college placements for all of our seniors.” Noah James, a Senior on the team, thinks that Friedman is “giving us the best opportunity to succeed after high school.” The baseball team, although out of the spotlight at the moment, are sure to receive their fair share of praise this coming spring due to great coaching, and hard work.
