School’s Out (Almost)

MBHS’ first Senior class is graduating this year, and the general feeling amongst the seniors is “bittersweet,” as Allison Tindel remarked.

Even though it is a little sad, many of us can agree that we’re “excited to go on to new things,” she adds.

An anonymous senior commented that he’s “relieved that he’ll [I’ll] never see another Delta Math assignment again.”

While some of the juniors are relieved that the stress is finally over, underclassmen aren’t feeling the same love. A sophomore said she feels like the stress is just starting. The Regents are coming up. End of the year schoolwork is beginning to flood in, and other things in your personal life are suddenly becoming harder to balance than they were before. At the same time she did state that “it feels good now that it’s over.”

The faculty are going through the same bittersweet feeling that seniors are feeling. Mr. Faughnan feels both happy and sad with the close of this school year, stating, “I’m happy that our students are completing another successful year, but it’s also sad when their time here comes to a close.”

There are different vibes that flow through the hallways as summer finally begins to show its face. Some might be feeling stressed, but we can all take a summer break to not think about school, and have as much fun with our time as possible before everyone comes back to MBHS in September, or, for the senior class, before we go off to college.
