On April 28, 2016 Drake dropped his latest album The Views. The album has 20 firey and catchy songs including the hottest tracks out now “Hotline Bling,” “One Dance,” and “Summer Sixteen.” On this album, he was able to record many collabs with other big names like Rihanna, Future, Popcaan, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and many more.

According to The Verge, “When pop historians look back at Drake’s career, they’ll see 2015 as the year in which he transformed from a garden-variety pop star into an all-around cultural force.” Many believes that this is Drake’s year and this isn’t going to be the end of it. As an artist not only did  he buried damaging accusations about his writing process with two perfectly timed diss tracks and a barrage of memes. He became the face of Apple’s booming music division with a WWDC appearance, a radio show, and a handful of exclusive releases.

Drake’s new album ‘Views’ is an absolute masterpiece! It’s definitely his best musical effort ever. It felt like the hot takes on VIEWS started coming in before the album even dropped. Drake’s trajectory hit a definite peak last year with the impeccably-curated If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, his triumphant Meek Mill beef, OVO Sound Radio, and “Hotline Bling” regardless of where you think all that music ranks in his overall discography, it catapulted him to the top dog position he’d been gunning for his whole career.

According to Hot New Hip Hop,  “All of Drake’s pre-album singles were big events online (“Controlla,” “Pop Style,” and “One Dance” are easily the most-viewed songs on HNHH in the past few months), and it’s looking like “One Dance” will even be The Boy’s first number one single in the US. That’s not necessarily momentum though– that’s pop stardom.”
