Senior Report Cards: Why Students Get What They Get and Then Get Upset

Nick Isdith, Staff Writer

Students just recently received their first quarter report cards, and while some students seem pleased with their results, other students believe they should’ve done better.

Some teachers believe seniors are struck with a case of senioritis. On the other hand, some students feel that senior year is significantly more difficult than junior year.

Woody Gaston believes that because of all the added stress from college, it makes it very hard to do his best. “Sometimes it is hard to juggle schoolwork while working on our college application.” There are many people who think just like Woody and that there isn’t much more they can do.

On the other hand, one teacher believes that some students could use assistance in managing their stress levels regarding grades. Ms. Morales said “in order to help our students alleviate stress, we can help them learn to better balance their work and learn time management skills.”

It could be said that some students have stopped trying their hardest because they believe that high school is over and its time to relax.

Although these issues don’t affect everyone, it definitely does for a fair amount of senior students.
