Millennium Brooklyn Competes for the Best Poster
December 20, 2016
It’s that time of the year again. The holidays approach, winter is coming, the air is getting cooler, but the air in MBHS is getting hot. The MBHS winter wonderland poster competition has begun, and the challenge is well underway. According to the advisory announcements, the competition is to design a poster to the theme of winter wonderland. The posters will be graded based on “ craftsmanship, completeness, originality, relevance to the theme, and full group participation.” As a reward for excelling at all of these requirements, the advisory that is decided to have the best poster will be rewarded a pizza party.
However, advisory rivalry isn’t the only part of this competition. It also brings advisories together. Senior Thomas Camarda explained “it’s helping us bond and it is also helping us feel like we have a chance to eat pizza together, which would help us bond even more.” There is also the artistic expression part of the competition. Senior Vanessa Angel brought up that “every advisory has their own style and the posters will be able to show that to rest of the school.”
Posters are due Tuesday, December 20th
