The NFL playoffs began a few weeks ago. The playoffs will determine which teams are going to the Super Bowl. During the first weekend of the playoffs, the Wild Card Weekend, the eight playoff teams were determined.

The teams were the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Carolina Panthers, Green Bay Packers, and Dallas Cowboys. According to the NFL’s official website, the winners of the New England vs. Baltimore game and the Denver vs. Indianapolis game will battle it out for a chance to play in the Superbowl. This will also happen with the winners of the Seattle vs. Carolina game and the Green Bay vs. Dallas game.

Some students at MBHS are excited to watch the playoffs. They love the game and to see the athletes play.

When asked about why he likes the game, Senior Brandon Abrenica said, “I don’t know why, but it’s just a fun sport to watch. I like watching athletes doing amazing things, like watching Odell Beckham Jr.’s famous one-handed catch.” Many, including Brandon, find the playoffs exciting because the teams in the games are very evenly matched.
