After defeating Richard R. Green on Saturday, the Phoenix enjoyed another easy win against I.C.E. on Tuesday. This marks their fourth win, and also the first time Millennium has defeated their longtime rival in over three years. It was truly a moment for the Seniors to cherish after losing so many games over the years to I.C.E.

According to PSAL, Junior guard Visar Bedzeti led the team in assists with eight, and Senior guard Jeremy Santiago led the team in points with 13. Millennium also finished the game with a season high in rebounding, finishing with 68. Elias Suarez, a Senior forward, led the Phoenix with nine rebounds.

The I.C.E. Polar Bears played this game without their best overall player, Michael Laster. Laster led the team in points, rebounds and assists. He was suspended for two games after being ejected in the third quarter in their game against J.K.O.

When asked if the win meant any less because I.C.E. was missing their best player, one anonymous Senior said, “We knew that we were going to beat them either way, with or without Michael Laster.” The players and the fans will certainly enjoy their bragging rights, at least until the next matchup with the Polar Bears.
