Teacher Spotlight: The Fabulous Ms. Sasson

Being one of the founding faculty members of MBHS, Anna Sasson has contributed her time, knowledge and spunky attitude to helping students succeed. Her continuous effort to have students do their 100% is admirable. Lets give people a better understanding of the woman behind door #322.

AH: How would you describe yourself?

AS: Outgoing, Energetic, Eccentric, Caring, Fierce, Powerful, and straight up awesome!

AH: Please state your name and the class that you teach.

AS: Ms. Sasson, I teach 9th grade Living Environment, 11th and 12th grade Advanced Placement Environmental Science and Advisory

AH: Where are you from?

AS: I’m from Brooklyn, Park Slope specifically.

AH: Tell me a little bit about your family & home life.

AS: As a kid, I grew up as the oldest of three kids, I have a little brother and a sister.

AH: What kind of kid were you in school?

AS: I was the type of student that does all the necessary things to get an 85, but I was also quiet and kept to myself a lot. But I did have close friends that I hanged out with.

AH: Explain your teaching methods.

AS: I follow the rules, like to be stringent on accepting assignments and keeping the classroom to be relaxed and inquisitive.

AH: What’s the hardest part of being a teacher? The easiest?

AS: Balancing everything we have to do and doing each part successfully. The easiest? Advisory

AH: What can a student do to excel in your class?

AS: Think about questions and answers thoughtfully and come prepared everyday.

AH: What is one rule that you live by?

AS: Do more than what you think you can.
