The hit movie Get Out premiered on February 24, 2017 and since then has earned about 20.8 million dollars. The movie, which is an hour and forty four minutes long, has been popular amongst teenagers and up to ‘till this day has been a trending topic on social media.

The movie revolves around the main character who is a Black American man named Chris. who is . explain that he is a man of color. Chris is in an interracial relationship with Rose again add that she is white, and when it is time to meet her parents he discovers something he never expected.

MBHS senior, Nicole Szablak believes the movie “portrayed a different view of racism/discrimination against Black Americans.” In addition MBHS senior Monae Spears stated “It was worth every penny, it opened my eyes about a lot of racial injustice and is very knowledgeable.” Rotten Tomatoes, a famous movie critic website gave Get Out a rating of 99%. Rotten Tomatoes stated “Funny, scary, and thought-provoking, Get Out seamlessly weaves its trenchant social criticism into a brilliantly effective and entertaining horror/comedy thrill ride.”
