Buying and reselling fashion items such as clothes and sneakers has become the latest thing. It has become popular and individuals are making money through buying items to sell them for a higher price.

The buying and reselling business is an amazing thing, as it allows, a way to let people who want items to buy and people who have the items to sell. This business creates so much revenue, especially when it comes to sneakers. Popular sneakers such as Jordan’s and Yeezys hardly ever remake sneakers, once a sneaker is produced these companies hardly ever remake the same sneaker again, making these sneakers harder to find. Individuals use the reselling business to sell and buy items that are no longer in retail stores.

Many people use Facebook to connect to buyers and sellers for products using Facebook groups. Millennium Brooklyn’s own Kaleb Lay has started his own Facebook group for buying a selling fashion items he says, “[The group] holds 13.9k members.”  This group allows for 13.9k members to connect, where they are able to buy and sell items.

Buying and selling has become so popular that Facebook decided to make a market place icon on their app. The icon is “To help people make connections, [the Marketplace], a convenient destination to discover, buy and sell items with people in your community,” according to Facebook.

Kaleb also said, “I became interested in buying and selling clothes when I was introduced to Supreme and Bape by some of my friends at MBHS.” Students at MBHS are interested in brands that people usually buy and resell and have introduced other students into this new trend. Proving that MBHS students have fallen into the reselling trend.

Kaleb uses Facebook groups to buy items such as, “Air Jordans 3s, Supreme shirts, Bape bags, and a Gucci belt.” Kaleb has sold many Supreme items, Bape clothing and multiple sneakers. He states, “I flip most of the things I sell… I have probably accrued $400 plus.”

The buying and selling business has become very popular, it connects people to get items they want as well as selling items they are willing to let go of for the right price.
