Drama Club ‘Cinderella’ Musical Stars At MBHS

This coming Friday, the play, “Cinderella,” will be acted out by the Drama Club in the school’s auditorium.

According an Advisory Announcement e-mail, the play will start at 5:30 p.m. Tickets to the play will be $5 per person and these will be sold by the door before the play starts, as stated by the same e-mail.

Ms. Rogan and Ms. Feinstein are directors of this play. Ms. Rogan gave a summary of the play in an interview by email. She said, “ It is a twist on the original Disney story. This Cinderella (named ELLA) is a bit more independent. She teaches the entire kingdom to have courage and to be kind. There is a love story, of course, but it’s a funny musical!” According to Rogan, the play will run for about two hours.

Jessica Palatnik, a senior participating in the play as a townsperson, stated during an interview that, “[the cast members] are working really hard to make it as entertaining and funny as possible.” When asked what she would tell those who are skeptical about the play, Jessica said,  “There are some things that changed so expect some surprises… come and check us out.”

If you’re not too sure of whether or not you should attend, there will be a preview of the show next Thursday at 3:30 p.m. as stated by an e-mail from Ms. Rogan. It will be free to all MBHS students.

According to the Advisory Announcement e-mail, the audience members have a chance to win 3 hours of community if they are engaged and are invited to a selfie with the cast members at the end of the show.

The drama club has been up and running for 3 years at MBHS now as stated by Rogan.
