Is This the End? Or a New Beginning? Marking Period Comes to a Close

Yousef Ahmad, Staff Reporter

Here at Millennium Brooklyn High School, the first marking period for the final semester is ending. Now, don’t panic, everything is going to be okay. If you’re not doing so well at this point, you should visit your Advisor and devise a plan to raise your grades.

Although many teachers claim they won’t allow you to hand in old work or re do projects, there is no harm in asking. Teachers may also provide extra assignments to those who need it in order to positively bring their grade up. Our teachers at MBHS don’t want to see us fail — no teacher wishes for their student to fail.

Here to speak about this is teacher and Advisor, Ms. Greenman,  and Senior Student Thomas Weigel. Ms. Greenman, my Advisor, personally advises students to visit any and all teachers during advisory and check if there are any extra credit assignments that can bump up their grade.

Thomas Weigel says, “Although they say they won’t accept late assignments, if you’re polite enough and punctual, they may grant you mercy.”

This is Yousef Ahmad of Millennium Brooklyn, telling you, the marking period end is nigh.
