On Friday, June 26th, Millennium Brooklyn High School will be having its first Graduation Ceremony for their founding class of 2015! The ceremony will take place at Brooklyn Technical High School, commonly referred to as “Brooklyn Tech,” and will begin at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony has taken months to plan and those planning it considered several things like “a venue that would allow for enough guests, [while making sure it will] not feel too big.” said Assistant Principal, Ms. Baumgarten.

Faculty and students have mixed feelings regarding graduation. Mrs. Baumgarten states that “graduation is bittersweet for [her]” and that she “will definitely shed a tear or two.” She said, “you all have grown so much and ready for the next chapter in your life, but I am sad to see you all go. The founding class has really shaped the amazing community we have built.”

Some seniors like Justin Laveglia feels that graduation is also a very emotional event after the realization of “leaving forever.” Laveglia also stated that “everybody wants to move on, but then reality hits and that’s when it gets emotional.”
