The Ingredients for Pi Day

Kayla Cruz, Staff Reporter

On Friday, March 13th, 2015, students will have the exciting opportunity to pie their teachers in the face. This is all part of national Pi Day, which celebrates the mathematical constant. Typically, this day is celebrated on March 14th, since the date, 3/14 are the first three digits of Pi, 3.14.  However, since it falls on a Saturday this year, MBHS will be participating a day earlier.

Some good-sport teachers that are willing to be pied are Mr. Wachter, Mr. Faughnan, Mr. Friedman and many more.

Taylor Morton, a Senior at MBHS, says she’s excited to pie her favorite teacher, Mr. Faughnan. “It’s a great opportunity to bond with teaches and get to spend time with them on different level.” The special thing about our school is how close we all are. Activities like this allow us to build an even stronger sense of community. We’re in the second half of the year, so it’s fun to be able to have moments like this where everyone can relax and enjoy themselves.

Tickets went on sale on March 3rd, with all proceeds from this event will go toward helping fund the 2016’s Senior activities. Even if you’re not participating, you can watch MBHS’s first Pi Day event at 2:45 p.m. in the cafeteria.
